episode2: flat cat and the whale
Ok, so maybe you thought it was silly of me to be afraid of Daniel with a funky hat on,
or maybe you thought that my last episode just didn’t have enough “real” adventure. Either way,
I’m pretty sure that this one will meet your highest standards…

One afternoon I was eating cheese-its and drinking soda, which always makes me want to go swimming, so I jumped in.
Even though it was an exceptionally hot day the water was still very, very cold. Just when I decided to get back on the boat,
I saw a huge whale spout right next to me! I froze. Are whales friendly to cats, I wondered? Evidently not, because just then
another one came up right under me, making a loud OOOaaarrrr sound. Oh no. I was in big trouble.

I realized it when my paw accidentally got caught in its blow whole, and at that exact moment it decided to blow!
I went flying up into the air, and then I was blown by the wind at 12 knots per hour, far, far away from Tantara! Emily,
on Tantara had already spotted me in the air, so when I finally landed in the water Tantara was already heading towards me.
If Emily had not seen me fly away, and if I were not an orange cat, they would never have found me. But they did find me,
and finally pulled me out of the water. When I was completely dry, and heading back to the sail locker in the now cold setting sun,

I sipped my hot Cocoa contentedly, and heard Emily say behind me, “Flat Cat, next time don’t go swimming in whale territory.”
